About Carpenters

T. R. & C. Carpenter was established in 1951 as a family ironmongers and tool merchants, building up over many years an enviable reputation for stock and service.

The owner, Jennifer Wilkie, with many years of DIY and retail experience, aim to preserve this, and whilst retaining all the traditional features, also increase stock ranges to suit modern day requirements.

Jenny with her husband Michael took over from the Carpenter family in 2004. Sadly Michael passed away August 2009 but Jenny and her team carry on the traditional personal service only found in small retailers.
